Courage to do what you know is right, even if you are afraid

SMART GOALS
You can assist your child in turning almost every goal into a S.M.A.R.T. goal, but remember that children often need help and support from adults to reach their goals.

Volunteers!!
Volunteers are always welcome to come and help in classrooms throughout the building in order to help teachers and students. If you would like to volunteer this year, including being a chaperone for any field trips, you MUST compete the volunteer application from and online training. You need to send in both the application and certificate to Mrs. Knight to be verified. No one will be allowed to volunteer without completing the application and training. This needs to be done every year, even if you have volunteered in previous years.

Box Tops for Education
We are collecting Box Tops for Education this year. Please look on boxes and packages of items you buy and cut off any you find. Your child can put them into the basket outside my office or mailbox.

The changing of the seasons can be a beautiful time of the year. It can also be a miserable and frustrating time for allergy sufferers because of increased pollen levels.
Symptoms of eye allergies, or allergic conjunctivitis:
Watery, itchy, red sore, swollen, and stinging eyes. (Seasonal Allergic Conjunctivitis or SAC)
Both eyes are usually affected but one can be worse than the other
Runny nose, sneezing, scratchy throat
**The health suite does not supply medications, so it is important for them to be given before your child comes to school. Please remember to give your child any allergy medications they need before school to help decrease their symptoms and allow them to be comfortable. The health suite can provide eye washes and cool compresses as needed.
