Principal's Message

Happy Fall!

Winand Elementary School is a place where students can thrive in a rigorous, nurturing, student centered environment. Our staff is highly qualified and compassionate about learning in every aspect to ensure that our students are firmly on the path of success.
Here at Winand our goal is to educate, promote, and prepare our students for college and career readiness.
We are requesting that if you would like to meet with your child's teacher that you make an appointment. This is to avoid any interruption to instruction during the school day. As a team we greatly appreciate your support with this matter.
We also want to reiterate the importance of coming to school every day and being on time. This is a life skill as it helps build a habit for our children; the habit of consistency!

COUNSELORS CORNER

NOVEMBER CHARACTER TRAIT "CARING"
Being kind, thoughtful, and concerned about others. This month, students are learning and practicing the trait of caring.

Volunteers!!
Volunteers are always welcome to come and help in classrooms throughout the building in order to help teachers and students. If you would like to volunteer this year, including being a chaperone for any field trips, you MUST compete the volunteer application and online training. You need to send in both the application and certificate to Mrs. Knight to be verified. No one will be allowed to volunteer without completing the application and training. This needs to be done every year, even if you have volunteered in previous years.

Box Tops for Education
We are collecting Box Tops for Education this year. Please look on boxes and packages of items you buy and cut off any you find. Your child can put them into the basket outside my office or mailbox.
